wow...the stories you must tell at parties.
thats what it looks like to you.
to spursforsix.......it looks like your all alone hurtling toward the finish.
wow...the stories you must tell at parties.
So as a kid you could have ran with the best in the world, right?
As I said, I just did a yard in a tenth of a second which puts me ahead of that pace. If I get some time, I'll mark off a meter so we'll be on the same page.
yes. he's saying that some of them tried to run with him.
A moron says he ran a 20.00 a time that is faster than the great Bob Hayes ran and then here come other morons believing it, ha~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have never seen so many idiots in one place before.
You guys aren't kidding. I'm finally understanding this stuff and truly appreciating it.
I knew ya were stupid, just not this stupid.
So you are faster than Jesse Owens and Bob Hayes?
so what was your best 200m time avante?
Do you get any of this at all?
It was spring of 8th grade so it's not like I was 10 or anything. I had stopped growing at that point. Broke my toe earlier that year and the x-rays showed my plates were closed. But the point was that I reached my full height at that point. So I was pretty dominant in whatever sport I played.
I can't say that I could run with the world's best. I have no idea how fast they'd run if we were all in the same heat. Or me for that might. I might have been so intimidated that I would have the bed.
But just like you can't go back in time and have Gaylord Perry pitch against Babe Ruth, I can't go back in time and create some hypothetical lane lineup.
But it's fun to speculate.
I never ran a 200m, back in my time it was the 220 yards. I had a PR of 24.2 as a senior. But usually ran 25ish.
That's pretty slow compared to SFS. But hey maybe he can give you some tips and you can improve your time!
You really don't understand any of this do you?
Little guy, what about Bob Hayes only ran a 20.5 don't you get and that was a WR at the time. Dude, are you really this stupid?
There's just no way to know. I'm pretty sure there are people all spread out through the world that are as fast as those guys. However most don't get in a position to ever run a race or get timed.
I call this "American Idol Paradox". People see famous singers and think they're something special. When in reality, as American Idol and all the other talent shows have proved, there are probably hundreds of thousands of people
capable of singing just as well as the stars. They just don't get the opportunity. Same with track.
Watch this.
Hey SFP give me some training tips on how to improve a 200m time.
The guy has no clue as you will see.
Can you imagine if SFS was actually coached up? He'd be breaking 19. Maybe even 18. Sonuva that's fast.
Please see my discussion on the American Idol Paradox
I'm assuming you ed up typing "SFS".
There really isn't much strategy involved. It's a full out sprint. Lean in to the turns. Work on your timing getting off the block. Don't over think it.
Really? Really? A 25ISH? Dang. Why even run. Compared to SFS, you were just standing still.
I imagine that SFS probably looked something like this.
LOL. That's fun to think about but not realistic. The body is only capable of so much. Although I will say that if I had a proper coach, I might have been more consistent. Or maybe the realization that I should have stayed in track. Anyway, no regrets.
Not being a fat like avante probably helps too
