Only way the A's win that trade is if they win the World Series. Lester is only going to be a rental for the A's, no way they keep him long term.
The A's are going all out and Lester just could seal it for them...I would say the A's will be the favorite now....as for Lester,he said
he would re-sign with the Sox next year.. I think it's a good move by the Sox as they get Lester back and a great prospect in Cespedes.
The Green Monster will up his home run output then that the big pitchers park in Oakland......
without Cespedes's crazy outfields assists against the Angels this year...we'd be top of the MLB standings. I'm all for this trade. Might be able to make up the 2.5 games in the long run.

John Lester had a good outing with his first start with the A's today. He said in Oakland that
he won't rule out resigning with the Sox after this season. Some writers from Yahoo say he will
sign where the money is and that's the Yankees... I still like him with the A's but if the yanks,
he is dead to us.......

Lester gave us his best stuff. He's at the tail end of his career. Youk Made the same move and where is he now? Hasn't been heard from again.

The Yankees wanted Sox Jon Lester and the Rays David Price but both teams had enough sense not to trade
