To answer the question though no he is not, Ayres sucks but Blair is not the answer for this team either so by Default it's Blair.

Blair is better but Jeff is much better for this team. Spurs didn't need what Blair could offer and his negatives greatly outweighed his positives because of that.

People that know what a thing called defense is. Ayers is fifty times defensively the player Blair is. He's slightly not as good offensively, but he's so much better defensively that it makes up for it. Better rebounder too.

Blair is the better player, but I feel Ayres fits San Antonio's system more. He's quick and not a black-hole on defense. The former the latter are everything Blair is not.

Blair has a much rounded offensive game and is highly skilled on the block. But Ayres is 6-10 and plays better D.

I'd take Ayres over DB every day of the week. Jeff had some confidence issues to start the season, and was playing a bit timid and scared, but that rust is obviously starting to wear off, and as Pop said, he really hasn't played much in the league yet. The talent is there, it just needs to be polished a bit.

I have a feeling come playoffs, we are going to be very happy with him coming off the bench.

Blair ended not even getting playing time. Ayers always gets some time. And he's just getting started. He has somewhat of a jumper and play way better D. Taller more athletic. Get rid of the butterfingers and he will reallly payoff.
