These replay things should only be used during playoff times.
Or for instances where the pitchers have a perfect game going so he doesn't get screwed by the umps.
MLB will expand instant replay to review close calls this season. Each manager will be
allowed to challenge at least one call per game. If he's right, he gets another challenge.
After the seventh inning, a crew chief can request a review on his own if the manager
has used his challenges.

Meh...
I think this destroys the little flow any game has.
If they enforce other options to speed up the game, then maybe it works well, but all this does is make a 3-1/2 hour game and makes it 4+...
I don't think that a replay challenge is all that bad. Some bad calls that the umpires made last year
changed games. As long as it's not balls and strikes but close calls on the bases I'm good
with that. I think it will out out some of the bad umps who are making bad calls all the time.
It will also make the umps pick up their game when the know they are being watched all the time.
So they want to make games even longer ?

I like this change, but I wonder what other changes he is alluding to.
I thought Bud was leaving.....they need to do what the NBA did. Sit the umpires down and tell them they are
not the stars the players are and to do their job. Start to weed through and replace the butt heads.
Its usually the older "old school" umpires that make the bad/emotional calls tbh. I agree with you, there needs to be a culling.
