His impact is just ridiculous, tbh..

The Leonard/Green defensive duo is too overwhelming, they get their hands on every ball in the lane..

Offensively, when they're on their game, the Spurs are unbeatable..just have to hope the refs don't take them out of the game..
yeah Danny Green just literally takes Wade out of the game.

Green finally getting attention in the national media, tbh.. his defense will finally receive credit, too, because he got 5 steals and that's all the media looks at..

Green was phenomenal tonight. His defense is always there, but his offensive play was shocking. If he can make layups and floaters consistently, Spurs will be unbeatable.

Just 21 minutes. Get Bonner and Belli out of there and give him those minutes. Heck give him some of Manu's minutes if the situation calls for it.

He was amazing tonight, and to his credit, shut most of all the criticism I had towards him about making plays and finishing at the rim... he plays like that 2 more times, and we'll be hard to beat...

He was in foul trouble, otherwise, I think Pop would've played him more.

The refs were making that impossible.

Thought Marco was phased out of the rotation but then Pop came out with Marco/Bonner
no idea why Pop is so quick on Green when he has 2/3 fouls
not like hes gonna play 36+ minutes and foul out anyway
You can't just extrapolate fouls and minutes like that. Pop doesn't want his key defenders being tentative because they have 5 fouls, or 4 fouls in the 3rd or early 4th. Pop is ultra-conservative with foul trouble. This blew up his rotations in game 2; with the way the Spurs shot in the 3rd quarter of that game they should have been up 10 at the end of the 3rd, but all the perimeter defense was on the bench.

the 2 fouls in the first quarter or 3 in the second is just stupid to automatically yank out a roleplayer for at the end of the day
if it was someone like Duncan/Leonard/Parker then you would have to be cautious but Green isnt gonna be playing huge minutes and if he does foul out you have Ginobili who can take his spot

12 huge points in the paint. I think the Heat are willing to just pack it in when Danny's taking them off the dribble.

Unbelievable. Just astounding. Miami's defensive scheme is utterly trashed if Green can keep hitting those Neal-esque floaters, not to mention all the contested layups he made.

This. Best COMPLETE game I've ever seen him play. And those drives are going to pay huge dividends because defenders are going to have to give him a little more room and that'll open up the 3's.

He played good tonight. He was more aggressive. He did have some dumb ass plays though, offensively (lazy perimeter passes) and defensively (jumping on fake). His aggression was there, he played hungry, and he was more than a one dimensional player. Kudos.

    almost to 7k... WOW

Bumping this over the church thread. Danny is having his best statistical season 2011-2013, though I can't really point to any number to explain it. Guess he's back in contract-year mode.

Spurs better be ready to pay him next season season. I think he could double his paycheck quite comfortably.

Unless he explodes in the playoffs the Spurs would retain him easily. Something in the region of 4/28-32 would be enough. Most teams that need him would not have more than MLE money to offer.

Cleveland should be all over him and should be calling RC at the trade deadline or earlier offering Waiters and a pick.
