Its funny how every country counts medals different:

- in the USA its overall medals > gold > silver > bronze
- in Germany they tend to do gold=3; silver=2; bronze=1
- or they go with gold > silver > bronze

I think 3,2,1 point system is best. More weight on higher medal, but still gives meaning to all medals.

And no, its not that I'm a Germany homer (I'd actuall like Canada to win the medal race), but it shows the stupidity of the system used by most US-sources.

That being said, USA is the only team not named Canada that can compete for the Gold

I had Sweden to be the only other contender, but after Henrik Sedin and Zetterberg went down, I've changed my mind



Canada has the edge because their blue line is head and shoulders above everybody else ........ I mean , PK Subban, the defending Norris Trophy winner, and still one of the best D-Men in the NHL this season, is a 7th defenceman on Team Canada

different leagues, rules, opponents and ice surface
