We already figured out a few weeks ago that Brewer was the mystery QB everyone was talking about. Burton said we would be entertained when we found out who it was. He also said his family loves Texas (Both Brewer and his sister came here). He fits the bill.
That said, he may actually be going to Boise.

S DeShon Elliott will be visiting Austin this weekend, per 24/7. He and RB Nick Brossette became buddies at the Under Armour game so he wants to be in town for his official visit and show him around. I don't know if this will be Elliott's official visit as well since he is currently scheduled for the 23rd.

Tech having a 1000 yard runner for the first time in 15 years gives us a glimmer of hope here.He took only one official visit prior to the current dead period when he tripped down to Austin to see Texas on Dec. 12, so the coming weeks will feature trips out to see his other three finalists -- Oklahoma State on Jan. 16, Texas Tech on Jan. 23, and then Washington on Jan. 30.

With ATH Tim Irvin locked in for his Auburn visit, Inside Texas saying we need to watch for them trying to flip CB Davante Davis as well.
Inside Texas also mentioned UT looking at CB Antoine Stephens of Dallas Kimball as a potential replacement.
It seems the staff is trying to stay ahead of these recent developments as Coach Vaughn and Coach Beford saw Stephens this morning.
