Anyone have any real information about the possibility of Texas persuing the newly resigned WR coach of Florida, Joker Phillips? I've seen a few tweets that there may be interest there. Aside from his troubles I like the idea simply because I have not heard any recruit rave about Les Koenning our current WR coach. We could certainly use some new energy at the position.
Apparently Muschamp fired him because of possible recruiting violations. There have been some talk about Bruce Chambers getting the AD job for DISD, if he wants it or applies for it. Burton of 24/7 thinks that is what has to happen for Phillips to potentially be a Texas coach.
Per his Twitter, 2016 RB Devwah Whaley of Beaumont Central is headed to Austin.
Burton of 24/7 changed his Crystal Ball to Texas for OL Garrett Thomas this morning.
Several others are doing the same.
24/7 saying DT Du'Vonta Lampkin did not make it yesterday.
He was going to ride down with Weathersby and it didn't happen for some reason.
Per OrangeBloods, WR AD Miller had a change of plans and won't visit today.
Decision is expected to come in 2-3 weeks, per 24/7.
Other players from Westfield decided to tag along on the trip, so there wasn't enough room in the car for Lampkin.
If Texas lands Thomas and Akamnonu follows, you're looking at a really solid 2015 OL class. What's funny about that to me is everyone has been so worried about the lack of recruiting firepower on the offensive side of the ball, but Wickline and Watson have been the best up to this point.

Per OrangeBloods, CB Roney Elam will not be visiting campus this weekend.
He is supposedly trying to re-schedule so his mother can come with him.
Inside Texas reporting JUCO QB Daniel Fitzwater was on campus today for an unofficial visit. They mentioned they don't think Texas' interest is all that strong, but a development worth watching since Texas claims they won't be taking a second QB. Fitzwater said he loved the visit.
2016 5-star DT Kendell Jones was scheduled to be in College Station today, but ended up not going. That is the fourth time this spring/summer he was scheduled to visit A&M but didn't go. He has yet to visit them.
I like Texas' chances with this guy.

Per 24/7, CB Keivon Ramsey will be on campus today.
OL Keaton Sutherland of Flower Mound Marcus has committed to A&M.
And of course he is better than anyone the Longhorns have committed
DT Du'Vonta Lampkin of Cypress Falls tweeted a Top 5 today with UT on top.
Only concern is rumors of him having a lot of work to do in the classroom.
Some comments on twitter tonight suggesting that 2015 OL Tyler Moore of North Shore could be close to receiving a Texas offer. Moore is teammate of current UT RB commit Tristan Houston.
Per 24/7, Texas has offered OL Tyler Moore of Galena Park North Shore.
I would expect him to commit in the near future.
