Yukon HS OT Shane Block (Yukon, Ok) committed Friday morning. Also held offers from North Texas and Georgia State. Coker and co. are really kicking UNT's ass in head to head recruiting battles tbh.

Scott was great though. I love coach Coker, but he always says the exact same thing in every interview, haha.
Fall camp is under way. Opening night at Houston is only 3.5 weeks away.

http://m.goutsa.com/mobile/ViewArtic...B_OEM_ID=13100INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The NCAA Division I Board of Directors approved the recommendation from the NCAA Division I Administration Cabinet to elect UTSA to Football Bowl Subdivision active membership on Thursday.
The Roadrunners, who began play as a Football Championship Subdivision independent in 2011, spent the last two seasons reclassifying to the FBS, first as a member of the Western Athletic Conference in 2012 and this past year in Conference USA.
UTSA will play its first season as a full-fledged member of the FBS and be eligible for a bowl game this fall.
UTSA is now officially an FBS member.
we started from the bottom now we here
It's really just a formality of course.
That looks really good. I wonder who paid for it? A split between the city and UTSA perhaps?
Dunno man. But it does kinda look like the Rowdy head and UTSA endzones are a part of the turf instead of spray painted? If so then that might be UTSAs turf.

http://blog.mysanantonio.com/utsa/20...t-and-a-raise/SAN ANTONIO — UTSA and Larry Coker have agreed to terms on a five-year arrangement that will keep the 66-year-old football coach under contract through the 2018 season. The deal, in the works for several months, has been approved by the University of Texas System’s vice chancellor for academic affairs and is recommended for approval by the board of regents. Regents will take up the matter in a regularly-scheduled meeting next week. Details on the contract surfaced Friday when the UT System posted the meeting agenda on its website.
Hired by UTSA in 2009 to start the football program from scratch, Coker has been working on a contract that paid him $350,000 annually. It was scheduled to expire after the 2015 season.
The new arrangement calls for the coach to be paid $400,000 this year, increasing in increments annually and reaching $500,000 in the final year. Included are increases in incentive pay for team and academic performance.
The contract period is for Sept. 1, 2014 through Aug. 31, 2019.
More Coker until 2018.
He certainly deserves it!
