There was apparently a big hole in the turf that he stepped in and hurt his meniscus
Just sayin'....hernia, concussion, torn meniscus. jeebussss...the guy has spent more time at the doctor's office than on the field in just his rookie year.

Better of the two meniscus outcomes. Get well soon, young man.
Wait, isn't that the WORSE of the two meniscus outcomes? Usually surgery is a quick fix that ends up having long-term effects, while rest takes longer to start but provides a better healing job. For someone as young and important as Clowney, I wouldn't have even considered surgery, just like the Spurs didn't when Duncan had his meniscus issue in 2000.

    http://www.battleredblog.com/2014/9/...emove-v-repair

The first link talks about how meniscus injuries are usually addressed. The second link suggests that a 4-6 week recovery means they removed part of it instead of repairing it. That's actually pretty concerning.

Obviously, I know this response is a week late. I just saw it now.

Probably to shelve him for the season. If they did remove part of the meniscus, this may just be the beginning of his knee issues.

Yeah...I was speaking from a recovery standpoint for this season and not long term. No one except the doctors know the severity of the tear and how much they had to remove. The hope is they carefully weighed out the pros and cons of both and that they didn't feel the tear was that bad, so they went with the removal thinking he wouldn't have lingering effects.

Andre Johnson needs two catches to move into 13th place on the career receptions list. With five receptions he moves into 12th place and if he gets 13 catches he moves into 11th place.

This team is a ty as it was last year...had it not been for the Redskins turning the ball over in the red zone and the Raiders starting a rookie Qb and sucking so bad this team would be 0-3

No the team as a whole is not as ty. The quarterback though is a different story.

i wouldn't panic too much tbh, of course play offs are pointless at this point, but there is plenty to like about this team for the future.

Not having Clowney or Foster hurt. A lot.

If you're counting on Foster to be healthy in order for the team to look better, then good luck to that...guy is always hurt. As for Clowney, for all his freakish athleticism his body seems to be made out of . Already 3 set backs this year, his rookie year and after one game!

I was talking about the Texans and 3rd round picks. Seems like none of the players they pick in the 3rd ever pan out.
