I never really cared for it much either, same with cream soda.To me some things just don't seem like they were meant to be made into carbonated drinks.
Big Red kicks ass, but I also don't drink sodas. I don't have anything against them, I just prefer water.

It does taste like gum but it does not have gum flavor added to it which is the neat thing, its actually orange juices mixed with lemon juices

For you BR aficionadoes, try this. Buy a bottle from HEB, the 20 oz glass bottle they sell in the coolers there. Take it home and stick it in your freezer for 20-25 minutes. Take it out (if you kept it in long enough there should be just a few ice crystals floating around in there) and take a huge swig. You will experience the greatest soda burn you've ever had in your life. Shortly thereafter, you will wonder how you've lived your entire life without having done that before.
I don't drink much sodas, but when I do I usually drink a diet Big Red.
