So Spurs are finishing 2nd in the conference? Dallas owns all tiebreakers with Phoenix and Memphis.
Tiebreakers don't help if you have less wins.

there are a handful of scenarios and if i'm not mistaken we can still end up playing any of these teams. just wait it out instead of calculating specific scenarios. heck its still possible we get golden state

If Memphis wins their last 2 remaining games they are 7 and Dallas is 8. It's possible.
    So you're saying there's a chance? It's the Grizz.

I think Memphis wins out which includes loss # 33 for Mavs in last game of season.

I didn't say they would. but they could. Your post insinuated that memphis could not pass Dallas.

OKC plays Durant 42 minutes with no Westbrook and no shot at #1, and they're going to lose their game.

Would rather play Memphis, but wouldn't mind Dallas. Plus, I wouldn't mind seeing Memphis play OKC in the first round, either.

Both teams can give OKC fits, but the Spurs would possibly sweep both. Can't ask for a better 1st round, tbh.

Dirk/Ellis can beat us by themselves, no one on the Grizz can. Go Mavs on Wednesday tbh

i think ideally we get Dallas and let OKC deal with the Grizz. not that the Grizz worry me (we take that in 4 or 5), but they're more physical and more likely to wear on us. Also, their style of play really gives OKC fits. Dallas plays virtually no defense so we'd shred them like a typical regular season game

Dallas and the Grizz are in a dead heat. They play each other in Memphis on Wed. night and the loser plays us.

    Warriors clinched the 6 seed.

Loser of the Dallas @ Memphis game plays us round 1, winner plays OKC.

    icewater:
Dirk tweaked an ankle his last game. There’s a large probability Carlisle would rather rest Dirk vs. Grizz (effectively conceding the game) to have a healthier Dirk in the playoffs than try to play matchup games and potentially lose Dirk in the process

Memphis could take OKC to 7. Wouldn't be shocked if they won. It's a bad bad matchup for OKC.

I don't think the Grizz or Mav's want to play OKC. " How do you double tank"

This. Go Mavs! I do not want to see Dirk hitting crazy shots in the first round. Let him give OKC some fits. Memphis are easy and we've taken care of them recently, Spurs in 4/5.

I hope the Spurs get Memphis. It is more physical, but it is the playoffs. All we need is someone from the Grizzlies to mouth off about how they wanted the Spurs this year...
