I like my 5s a lot, very happy with it. Hearing good things about WP 8.1 though.

I'm getting a new phone this weekend and I'm considering getting another iPhone. Is there some compelling reason I should consider an Android or Windows phone?

true, but you can actually still get money selling or trading in an old iPhone after a few years. I got $230 from best buy for trading in a two year old 4s last october and paid $70 for my 5s. I could have jailbroken it and got over $300 on ebay or CL.
Get an iPhone already. From the tone of your post, it seems like that nothing we say would change your mind
iPhone = you rent it
Android = you own it
Do you have girly hands? Does your mind explode if you do 2 things at once? Do you like watching video's in small screens? Do you like squinting when you read? Did you think you were cool when you had the latest laserdisc player even though DVD players already came out?
Answer these questions and we will recommend whether to switch or not.
backstreet
best boyband ever.
answering yes to all the question I listed right? lol
Considering I post here all day on my pc while wfh on my Mac, I'd say no
SGS5 if you need a good camera, HTC M8 if you don't, Google Nexus 5 if you dig stock Android.
All three are better than the iPhone by a substantial margin.
I would suggest you try out Android first and see how you feel about it.
Personally, it looks/feels unfinished, unpolished compared to iOS. We have a last gen Nexus 7 at work, and frankly we just use it for dev (same thing with the Win Surface). We rather use the iPads for anything else.
If you're considering iPhone, I really like my 5S and would recommend, but I would wait a few months to see what they come out with.
I wouldn't compare the tablet experience to the phone experience b/w Andorid and iOS tbh...iPad are still superior (although my N7 does everything I need without issue).
For phones, Android (or AOSP ROMs) is just more flexible and inventive for me. I also cannot go back to a screen that narrow/small as in the iPhone.
The recommendations are in this thread, just figure ou if you're willing to leave iOS or not.
Well Stock Android is pretty bland TBH
Yes it's snappy cuz it's light, but it's plain and boring, and you have to download a bunch of 3rd party apps to make it decent (so at the end of the day, you do get the bloatware people complain about when talking about Touchwiz or Sense).
Also, stock Android camera is
Touchwiz on my S4 is superb
Yeah the icons are ugly as , but the functionnalities are nice and well intergrated; quite frankly, skinned Android s on iOS
And the camera is awesome
No good reviews of TouchWiz for the S5 out there.
Meh there will always be people who dont hake OEM'S skins and that's ok
TW is not perfect, but to me the pros outweigh the cons
But man those icons , Nova Launcher is required for Samsung devices
Most I read said they spent way too much time duplicating services native to android in the first place
ah ok
Yeah that sucks TBH
But it's surprising, I thought Google convinced Sammy to not duplicate native Android stuff
My reasons for getting an iPhone 5 would be:
- Ease of use
- Less vulnerable to malicious software
- Compatibility with other iOS devices at home
My reasons for getting something else:
- Larger screen
- Better camera/video
Currently, I'm leaning towards a Galaxy Note 3.
The note3 has more megapixels than the 5s, but I wouldn't say it makes it better. If it's camera you want, get the top line Lumia.
Am I original???
After getting the Galaxy S4 last year I laughed at my friends whenever they showed me videos on their iphones. The S5 screen's even bigger and since I don't have pussy hands and it still fits in my pocket bigger is better
also, those iphone cases make them look like lego blocks. Ugly as
no one mentioned a 5c.
Galaxy line, my h
Get a purse, though
