Harden's D is as hard as the Maginot line, no hyperbole.
When you are on a team with a Chinese guy and the opposition is attacking you instead of him, you know your d is pretty bad.
His defense has improved somewhat. Plus I don't mind him playing a bit relaxed D if we are up 20.
He is a offensive minded player and you just have to live with that.

He was brought in for his offense. It is easier for an offensive minded player to dial up the defense as his career proceeds (he is really young) than it is to teach great offense to a defensive minded player. Many of those games the rox were up by 13 to 20 pts. The risk for stopping a lot of those players slashing to the basket is racking up the fouls. It's obvious you don't want to be fouling out of a game when you are clutch and hit a high clip from the charity line.
He needs much improvement on D, but he is young and I know he will/can improve.

He is actually not a bad post defender though. Only can be used there in spurts. He was improved his d over the year, but he still goes for lazy steals letting his man go by. Definitely not as bad as last year.
Love the video... the only problem is... how did we lose to the Rockets so many times this season even with Harden playing defense like the juggernaut he is?

Remember when everyone used to compare him to Ginobili in his OKC days? Don't hear that too much anymore. His defense is even worse than Dallas Nash.
Parsons couldn't even make the team.
