A dark-horse candidate for me. I don't think he'll be a first-rounder, but I'd love for the Spurs to find a way to get move into the middle of the second to get him. He's a tremendous inside force defensively, and he can score on cuts and in transition. If he can get a mid-range shot, we're talking about a steal for whomever gets him.

Saw him play quite a bit and I've never been all that impressed. But, he played in what is probably one of the worst coached teams in the MWC. He's definitely gifted physically and being in the right environment could help him immensely. Wouldn't be upset with a 2nd round pick being used on him but I am also quite suspect with the locker room mentality of players coming out of UNLV right now.

I think I'd be more intrigued to take Patric Young but he seems like an interesting option that late.

I think he just has too many unknowns for the Spurs to risk using a pick on him. Would be interested to see where he goes though because he is projected mid-second round but somehow I see him falling a lot more than that.

No in first, HARD YES in second. He's way better than the 58th player in the draft.

Birch went undrafted...you'd have to imagine if the Spurs were high enough on him, they'd have found a way to get him in the 2nd round, no?

Win Shares projected him to be a future starter, so you gotta expect him to make a training camp somewhere. I wish for the Spurs, but he has no ties to the team and would be fighting for a roster spot that doesn't exist.
