From what I read, it's a lighter and cleaner UI

That, plus you have to wonder how much battery life that display will consume as compared to a 1080 screen.

And I've read that you can adjust to odd button placement quite easily

And it's nice to see more OEM phones with on screen nav buttons
    (cough Samsung)

    Other reviews are out:

    http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2014/...many-pixels/2/

    http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/06...or/#conclusion

The Arstechnica one is interesting because it echoes my concerns about that screen:

-The Battery life during high usage. The screen uses a lot of power. It sucks down power to the point that LG has to throttle down the brightness when the device gets too hot.
-It's pretty much impossible to tell the difference between 1080p and 1440p on a ~5-inch device.
-The UI sometimes stutters. Pushing all those pixels takes lots of GPU power that isn't always available.

Yeah it uses a lot of juice

I wonder if a software update can fix that

I should have waited for the G3 but I'm extremely happy with the G2 considering that I upgraded from the 3GS.

Just got the leather back G4 from T-mobile.. pretty nice phone so far. Great price too, at 449.00 with the lease program I didn't pay , not even the taxes, and I can upgrade my phone 3 times in the next 18 months if I choose

God damn S6 Edge is like 8 bills, that
