Mexico has been Brasil's daddy for some reason. If we somehow pull that one off...
Gotta take care of Cameroon first though.
for somebody to beat brasil at this world cup it will take alot of organisation and heart, things mexico is not recognized for.
Brazil has a very solid defense and they will be refereed like '06 wade so only very organized and disciplined teams will go with the upper hand because the brasilian teams are oftenly mentally weak if pushed/pressured properly. Sure, it's the WC is on a one game basis and mathematically surprises will happen, BUT, I see these teams being difficult for brasil:
croatia
germany
spain
italy
s korea/japan
Many people don't understand that besides quality (many very good teams) and luck (unpredictable) THE deciding factor in winning a world cup is experience and the ability to control pace in games, both of which brasil lack.
USA hands Mexico a spot in the WC on a silver platter, and then Mexico gets put in a group with one dominant team and 2 below average ones, and they will advance. The group selection process is a joke.
Only thing that gives Mexico a chance against Croatia is the climat. The croats have a far more superior team. Modric found his way in Madrid, Rakitic is coming of his best season as a pro and is joining Barca, Kovacic had a great season for Inter. That's their 3 in central midfield. They have a motivated(Lewandowski hire) Mandzukic up front. One of the best full back's in europe in Srna(great dead ball specialist). International expierienced Corluka,Olic,Perisic,Pranjic. Plus Dejan Lovren one of the up and coming central defenders in the world. They always iffy when it comes to goalkeepers but overall they are the better team.Their menager Nico Kovac brings that FU at ude and that's when they are at their best.
Kovacic had a decent season with Inter, not great
CNN is just reporting that police in Brazil are currently shooting teargas and rubber bullets at protesters surrounding the stadium, just hours before the opening match
For a 20 yerar old player who joined a big foreign club in winter he did great. Winning a place in the first eleven in a italian league is always an issue for young players from abroad. Inter as a whole was a mess this season. I'm not a Croatia fan at all, but it wonders me why this team doesn't get any respect at all.
The only thing better than seeing Slovenia win is seeing Croatia lose. So i guess go Brazil!
screw you neighbor and your piece of servers
Can Tri fans comment on how they feel about their team now, tbh? I know they struggled qualifying, but that's all I know...
Croatia on paper doesn't look too bad..
So what has changed since Mexico couldn't qualify in the ty CONCACAF and needed luck to qualify from the US and Panama losing at the last minute in order to play a New Zealand team to secure a spot in the WC? Serious question.
Yeah I have the same questions. I'm really liking Croatia here with that loaded midfield and Mandzukic.
A passionate coach with a better defined system (whether you agree with him or not is not as important)... The coach appears to be picking players based chiefly on whether or not they are in good form and not based on if they are considered "big-name" players... despite the two close losses in prep games; the team looks to have more cohesion.
Sometimes that is all that's needed to get the most from the available talent.
Mandzukic not playing today due to his red card in qualifications. Big blow for Croatia and my fantasy team.Need to look up a replacement.
Defense is bad and slow. And our 1 defensive mid is like 5'4 120 pounds...
Offensively should be ok though.
Kova didnt start a lot tbh, but he will be a star imo
Same thing with Saphir Taider (Algeria) who started regularly (Kova was his sub) during the 1st half of the season (and he was playing very well), then bench warming after the winter break
But Mazzari is a coach who sucks the south american players' s
Mexico or Croatia
Will be an awesome Final match
