england
"no italian player would make it in the england NT"
the new york knicks of international football.
uruguay are getting very old and their defense has really dropped since 2010 so I'm not quite sold. Still, I guess it's better "kick the ball up front lad" england
Jack Wilshere, overrated by Arsenal fans because he has the logo tattoed on his chest and by 3 Lions fans because he is a pure, "tough", English boy
Phil Jones
Lampard
Steven Cuckard
I like Gary Cahill though, good defender
Yeah England doesn't look too good - i could see them advancing, but anything more is unrealistic.
It's time for the young talent to shine. That means you Ross Barkley and Luke Shaw.
Barkley is going to wreak havoc, tbh.
3 LIONS.
GONNA BEAT ASS.
Until they lose to Costa Rica.
The question in this group is if we're going to have another LOLItaly moment...
The Spaghettis and U R Guay will advance in this one I think.
What is Suarez status? Will he play in the first/second game? He had his knee drained couple weeks ago.
on track to be a sub on the 2nd game. he's already training full contact.
3 World Cup winners & Costa Rica is decent. I agree
Uruguay and Italia move to the second round.
England blame World Cup not played in proper weather How can you play headless chicken when it isn't raining 24/7
People comparing this England team to previous teams is stupid, this isn't sit back and play the long ball to Rooney anymore.
Italy aren't exactly world beaters, and if Suarez isn't fit then Uruguay can be beaten too.
yes, they are a "try to be technical like modern football " but fail team. At least that sit back and play it long had an iden y, an ugly iden y, but still one that matched the talent provided by england. No player in the england squad can truly create offense.
Italy is the euro finalist and a team with a clear style of play that can match both the technicality of latin teams and the physicality of england/germany/france so you are talking out of your ass big time on this one. They are also quite creative and I won't even start talking about coaching because it's like pop>spo.
I don't know why you're making the reference to the Euro's, this great Italian side needed penalties to beat a much worse England team who only had a month or two with a new coach.
I'm not saying England will win, but to act as if we don't have a chance is re ed.
And I pray to god that the Italian management thinks like you do that England have nobody going forward. The Sterling/Sturridge combination is ready to destroy.
Buffon ruled out of England game through injury
Suarez apparently to sit this one out against Costa Rica?
yes. He's on track to be part of the bench for England
