I love this show. The first season was up and down for me, but ended up being good. The second season was amazing. Glad it got picked up for another season.
4 episodes in and I'm still not sure wtf is going on.

A 3rd and final season. Are they going to give it 10 to 12 episodes? Or is HBO going to cheat the fans by giving them The Newsroom and Treme treatment? 4 to 6 episodes is a ty amount for a final season. The Leftovers should get at least 10 episodes in its finale season next year.
Stick with it bro has HBO ever failed to deliver?
Good season but I enjoyed the first one more.
For the same reason people mostly didn't like it. It was depressing and kind of a downer show. I liked that it didn't conformed to the expected. Life is not about happy endings.
Also, that music score. Damn
I was worried when Kevin got shot. Definitely thought he wasn't coming back from that one. No Justin=no show for me.
Tom annoyed me this season. What a cuck.
Also, that town. Who wants to live in a place where you can get buried alive 2-3 times a week with those earthquakes? Ridiculous
Stick with it. Season 2 is worth it.
So stoked there will be a Season 3. Final season.
Yeah, I didn't give up on it. I binge watched it this weekend. The International Assassin episode was pretty amazing, even better than the finale imho.
I still don't get wtf is going on with the GR though. Is their existence truly to just be emotionless living reminders? When that one member wrote out that Meg 'will change everything' I was expecting more than them just simply invading Jarden. I think that's why I wasn't as blown away by the finale as other people. Unless I missed some other meaning behind it, invading Jarden didn't mind me like the International Assassin episode did tbh.
Don't be a hipster. No way was Season 1 better. There's not a single episode from the first season that even comes close to the International Assassin episode.
I can name you two.
Two Boats and a Helicopter and Guest.
There really wasn't an episode on season two like those. Maybe besides International Assasin.
Just binge watched 2 seasons... Great show.. weird but good
If season 3 matches seasons 1 and 2, this will have to be in the conversation for one of the best television series of all time.
The acting in it, from top to bottom, is amazing. The writing, plot, and symbolism is phenomenal.
Only Mad Men comes close to truly conveying emotion.
when they were in the car and then they stop the music and she starts to cry... wow
I picked up on that brilliance of the acting in season two. Season one was too ing depressing for me. I will watch it again and I will rewatch season two.
I won't go that far yet to claim this show that way even with an amazing season three but I can see why people would declare it in the pantheon of great shows. Season two alone is one of the greatest I've watched in terms of shows. And I've watched my number of great shows. Idk, it's a matter of opinion.
Gonna start rewatching soon.
Season 2 ranks up there with a classic Season of Sopranos.. the wire. .
Hmmm. Wife and I are looking for a New Show.
Will check it out.
You'll hate it
Watched two episodes already. Interesting plotline.
The gf just started Season 2. On the first episode of the season, after they leave the lake and are driving back home they turn the music off and go into GR mode too. Didn't catch that the first time around.
I wonder what happens in the hotel with all them dead people in it? Kevin "kills" holy Wayne, Gladys, fake Patti, and Neal and then real Patti to ultimately get back.
What happens to all of them? Obviously they cant die twice so do they wake up the next day and rinse/repeat their dead routine or what?
Just watched that again... Interesting
I really liked season one but season 2 was much better.
Fantastic acting throughout, specifically, Regina King.
fascinating plot.
Annoyed that next season will be the last of the series.
BTW, the girl that plays Jill is a dime ( think she's actually a model)
Why are you annoyed? Its great that its ending naturally and not forced. To be honest, this show was a 1 season thing. The way it ended was just perfect.
What we're getting is icing on the cake.
Felt like season 2 was such an improvement over the first that i was interested to see how things progressed.
It seems it has more to due with low ratings than anything, if was apparently questionable whether or not it was going to be renewed for a second season.
Caught up on this before season 3 starts. Amazing show. Show writers say they will answer all questions by the finale, they're not leaving any loose ends.
Umm I'm skeptical of that.
That's what he said about Lost (Damon Lindelof) and we barely got any answers to the more mystic part of the story.
Kind of bummed that the third season wiill be extra shortened. I initially thought it would be 8 episodes. Just 7.
I know its just one less episode but what the .
