Congratulations Kawhi! Hope he remains a Spur for his entire career!

I wish Tim had received it, but Kawhi deserved it as well. Hopefully it will boost his confidence and the Spurs will be looking for him more on offense next year.
He reminds me of Grant Hill in his prime - but mentally and physically much tougher
The fact that he brought us here with that Westbrook block.. shows how much this man means to us winning and to us as a team. He truly deserved it. Such an efficiency player as well. Props to Kawhi.
Pop is a liar though. He said they never called a play for him, when I can clearly remember them running one in game 5. It was out of a timeout, and they ran that wheel/lob/dunk play for him that they have used since Sean Elliott was playing.
So proud of Kawhi. So humble, so unscathed. His proclamation, "I'm so proud to be a member of this team right now". Will stick as a bi-line for his entire career. There's not much more than you can say than Tim Duncan gushing over a 22 year old player winning the Bill Russell MVP award. Congrats to Boris Diaw, Patty Mills, Cory Joseph, Tiago Splitter, Danny Green, Jeff Pendergraph, Marco Belinelli, Aron Baynes, Austin Daye on your first NBA le!

Kawhi deserved it, but guys like Boris and Tim as well .. even Tony was in the mix had he not missed every shot in the first three quarters of game 5. I think Leonard was chosen for marketing reasons as well, as the NBA (rightfully) sees potential in him.
There's like 10 media guys who vote for FMVP. The NBA doesn't decide.
Marketing is a good stuff, I haven't problem with it, but Leonard led in scoring and rebounding the Spurs the last three Finals games.
Pretty impressive and amazing, he deserves recognition for that and the MVP.
I said he deserved it, didn't I? Diaw and Duncan were more consistent over 5 games, but Kawhi's monster impact in games 3-5 is undeniable, he was the best player on the floor ...
Couldn't be happier for Kawhi. I seriously believe this guy can be more than just a spot up shooter, his potential is limitless.
i'm sure it's been touched on but the moment silver announced his name and the team kinda started hitting him and congratulating him and slapping his back the look on his face made me weepy. it was perfect. congrats kawhi
He needs to work on his podium skills, because he's gonna have to do that much more in the future.
Wow, the avatar I chose for this season ended up being prophetic!
anybody know where i can find out how much lebron averaged when he was man'd up with kawhi???
Did anyone else notice how Ray Allen gave Kawhi extra props when the game ended? I thought that was pretty neat.
Sign him for vet min. Playing behind Cory
Kind of tired of Bill Russell still hanging out trying to be relevant. He seems like a nice dude, but I'm tired of the NBa trying to push him on us like we give a damn.
Actually I noticed that Pop spent a lot of time talking to Allen on the sidelines at the end of the game (you can see it in the Manu video).
Come on, the award is named after him...
