Just got word the Spurs Championship DVD I ordered from Amazon ($19.99) finally shipped.
Yup....just had to check. Still feels gooooooood.
Thank you Spurs for ethering this got's career.
i wanted to get it but everyone's saying it sucks
I don't know, I guess...Compared to what, the previous championship DVDs? I don't even remember how good those were, so I can't really compare. This one is OK, but it definitely had some serious omissions, for example the Duncan fadeaway shot in game 6 at OKC. Instead, they just showed him shooting a layup at some previous time in the game. But still, there were some qualities. I liked the orchestral music selections.

I woke up this morning...Friday, August 1, 2014...
1. I'm still happily married.
2. I got paid today.
3. The Spurs are still the NBA Champions.
Life is good...
GO SPURS GO!!!!!
I was just thinking, the real turning point during this playoffs imo really has nothing to do with the starters. I think it was game 4 against OKC when we are getting our butts handed to us again by OKC. Ibaka was back and the starters looked like 2012 all over again. Pop conceded the game and put the bench in which played well enough against the OKC starters that the game actually got to within 7 or so. Instead of putting the starters back in Pop chose to stick with the bench and let the starters sulk on the bench. Then the unthinkable happened and CoJo slammed it down Ibaka's throat. I think that sequence allowed the starters to look at it as "wow, if we start attacking and stop playing like panzies we might have a chance. Hence the outcome of the other games. That to me just seemed to be a turning point because when Ibaka first came back they looked like a deer in the headlights.
Unless your name is Paul George I guess. Get well soon!
Congrats to the Spurs... and to me for my 1000th post!
It doesn't suck, it's "meh" though. I definitely want to return it now that I've seen it.
Here's something to start your week with...
Tuesday morning....still champs.
Russell hand actually makes Leonard's look small...or normal.
I'm still giddy about the 'ship.
Watching Game 5 again (3rd time I've watched it cause I have it DVR'd). That run in the 3rd where Patty hits back-to-back 3's and then Manu hits the 3rd still gets me hyped. That was when I knew it was over tbh. It'll never get old. Watching Spoelstra's frustration and the heat's bench react is priceless.
Rewatching the Finals is such a pleasure. It's only the third time I've seen game four now, but everytime I do, not only did I enjoy the memories I already had, no, I find myself adding some new ones.
Example: Fourth quarter, about four minutes to go. The game is practically over, Heat score and Manu seems to have taken a hit somewhere near the ribs. Spurs advance the ball, Manu gets it at the threepoint line. Closeup, you can see him grimacing, he passes the ball, moves to the left side of the court. The ball swings around, finds himself back in that crazy Argentinas hands and what does he do? Drives it to the rim, takes another hit and finishes with a layup. Beautiful.
This team wanted it so much more and it showed.
Sup mein neger pookenstein?
Bayern
losing to the MLS all-stars
Charity. Promotion. Good will.
This game and next week against Dortmund will be the only losses Bayern will have in the 14/15 season.
Oh, and: Landon Dono .
Miami themed celebration gif:
Spurs winning it all makes this GIF even more amazing:
