The Rock is so much better than you it's not even funny.
When will Hollywood ever figure out that the actual stories of these myths/literary/comic heros is better than anything they can come up with? Why continue to things up? Go with what was actually written.
Steve Reeves, Reg Park, Gordon Scott, Mark Forest, Lou Ferrigno (no telling how many in those Italian musclemen flicks) have played the Greek hero ....Herakles. And while all were serviceable none really captured the gigantic hero, none really sold it. Now a guy who wouldn't make a pimple on Herc's ass is going to get his shot at it,The Rock as Hercules.....whoa~~~~~~ That's as bad as John Wayne trying to play Ghangis Khan.
First off The Rock (like Arnold trying to play Conan) is way too small. Hercules was a giant in his day, The Rock is no giant.
When I buy my movie making studio I'll get it right. You get an unknown bodybuilder 6-6 280 pounds nobody has ever seen before to play the Greek strongman, he will be Hercules. The Rock will always be a rassler, a coach, a sheriff, a footballer, a tooth fairy, etc etc.

Yah the Rock definitely doesn't look 6-5 from those pics. However, he's still a lot bigger than most Hollywood stars.
