Actually I thought the defense was solid enough against utep, and that's with some guys out because of injury, notably Rika Levi.
Offensive penalties and Webb playing like dog kept this game from being the 66-21 blowout it should have been.

idk Showers really sucks, not sure why the QB compe ion with Johnathan Football was even close two years ago. Tech knew UTEP could only run and they still didnt do a very good job of stopping them. Kinda got bailed out by their OC calling 4 consecutive passing plays on that last drive imo.
opinions could change since its still early, but after two games which is all we can go off of tech isnt 'under the radar'...its more a case of them sucking so far.

The way other teams have played plays a role (don't all polls work like that?) but it also has alot to do with how good UTSA has looked. UTSA can play with anyone in the state outside of A&M and Baylor.
