Unlike the Mills injury, there actually is a blessing in disguise with this injury. A good summer rest is just what Ginobili needs. Mills on the other hand, will be out until February/March of next year. I find it hard to envision Mills being ready for the playoffs. And that's if the torn rotator cuff doesn't significantly affect him in the long run.

Parker, Ginobili, and Mills all playing with debilitating injuries in the playoffs. Such warriors

I've had stress facture in my right shin. It's not a huge deal and just needs some time to heal. Though I'm not 37 years old.

The most interesting line in the article:

Ginobili is seeking a second medical opinion before proceeding, sources said.

Can you imagine the meltdown here if Manu gets clearance from another doctor and plays for Argentina anyway?

    Epic potential there.

That would be a real betrayal there. Not the "I'm healthy, playing really well, just won a ring for y'all and now I'll go rep my country for the last time 'betrayal.'"

Rest this year and play for the national team when you retire from the Spurs.

Yeah I wasn't too thrilled when he said he was gonna play this summer for Argentina. Now he has no choice but to rest up.

This injury is no joke. If I recall correctly, Jrue Holiday and Javale Mcgee both had stress fractures. Their teams were "optimistic" they could return within 1-2 months but then it turned out both needed surgery, sidelining them for entire season.

    Wtf is going on?

at this point even if manu comes back from injury, theres always a risk for re injury and that he may never play at a higher level than he did in the spurs championship run at his age

oh my, im seriously not even gonna check ST if manu somehow decides to play through this
