good deal for both parties, glad to see we have the team back together. I wonder if Tim decides to stay one more year after this. Lets say hypothetically the team gets another ring and Tim comes out healthy just as he did this year while playing at the same level, does he come back? does Manu? what do youll think?

As an aside, that is a very nice contract for Boris. He was extremely valuable, but considering his age/fit with other teams and the holes in his game, that is probably the top end of what his value was IMO.

Eh, I like Daye too. Will have to see what he does in the offseason.

As of what I saw from him last season, he's too slow to guard 3s and too skinny to guard 4s. He has one NBA skill and the Spurs have shown the ability in the past to bring in shooters.
Yep, he's gonna have to bulk up to have a place in the NBA, but with the Spurs allowing his contract to become guaranteed they must think he can.

Now we can sign LeBron with all that cap space!

Sometimes you still come up with something witty.
    Bravo, chump.

Damn, Spurs overpaid him, they must be really believing that Diaw will play near the level he played this season...

The MLE is 5.7M per year. He certainly could have commanded that. Boris got 7.5M per year and the third year is only partially guaranteed.

If he's overpaid, it's not by much and it was the amount necessary to keep him off the market.

Without Mills until March hope Parker stays reall healthy.rather see them target a decent PG than Gasol.

So I wonder how aggressively they will go after Gasol?
If they really want him badly they will have to entice him better than Miami, OKC, and the other teams offering the MLE, as well as those offering more.

Gasol is a HUUUUUUUUGE long shot. People need to give up on him coming to SA tbh.

I'll be pretty surprised if the Spurs use the MLE...good news is that if they do, they must really think that player will be a huge contributor next season considering they've kept every key player from a championship year.

Great news! Hopefully he will help the rookie develop and pick up some pointers on the NBA game. I like our chance to make another run at it next season.

Appears to be the case. Woj's story now says it's $15.5 million guaranteed first two years.

Which would fit perfectly with a descending contract of 8.0/7.5/7.0

Love it! Now he needs to spend the offseason working on his outside shot. He needs to be more consistent on his threes and be able to be a little bit more of an outside threat.

so basically we have the same roster from last year, but need to presumably make space or Anderson. does that mean its over for Bonner? I'd rather have kept bonner for the min than keep daye around
I believe Damion James has already been cut loose, freeing spot #15 for Anderson. DJ is on Detroit's summer league team, meaning he's no longer under contract with us.
