Holy crap, that was actually a surprisingly decent game from Arsenal.
Arsenal winning meaningless games like they're supposed to win
Holy crap, that was actually a surprisingly decent game from Arsenal.
Because there was no pressure. They were pretty much locked into second place after their collapse toafter their collapse to Anderlecht...
I'm happy that they won this game after that stinker from United. I still can't get over it. The turds are at their weakest and Arsenal still couldn't beat them
Wasnīt that meaningless for Arsenal: a 3:0 would have meant, that winning @Gala and Dortmund not winning against Anderlecht would be enough for Arsenal to get the first spot! Now, they need a 6:0 minimum @Gala and Dortmund drawing or losing...
So one less goal today means 5 more goals needed in the last game. I wouldnīt call that meaningles...
You're kidding right
Probably. But the way Dortmund played today, anything can happen... They are really in a slump rigth now!
lol no. The more defensive you are the more important is to have World Class attackers than can create (and finish) chances out of nothing.
no excuse tbh
BVB isn't losing bro. If Arsenal didn't blow a 3-0 lead against Anderlecht in 15 minutes, then we'd be in for a good final game.
Not winning isnīt necessarily losing ;-)
If itīs a draw in Dortmund against Anderlecht, a simple 1:0 for Arsenal would have been enough in Istanbul, if they had won 3:0 today. Now they need a 6:0 there, assuming Dortmund draws against Anderlecht, which is possible...
Yes, forgot about the stupid tiebreaker rules for CL....head-to-head crap...
But hoping they'd beat Dortmund 3-0 is ambitious and then hoping BVB ties the next game is asking for a lot. The point I was making was that throwing away 2 points and a 3 goal differential with Anderlecht in 15 minutes was more in their control, and the royally screwed up. Anything can happen, but not betting on it.
Key matches for Matchday 6:
Group A: None, unless Atletico beat Juve by 8 goals in Turin, or Olympiakos beat Malmo by 8 goals.
Group B: Liverpool v Basel
Group C: Monaco v Zenit
Group D: Arsenal
Group E: Roma v Manchester City
Group F: PSG Barcelona
Group G: Sporting CP and Schalke are still both in it; Sporting face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge while Schalke are at home against Maribor.
Group H: None.
Sporting is pretty much ed
But my negga Slimani has scored 2 goals in the CL
Doesn't matter, Porto's superstar Brahimi will carry the torch in the knock out stage
Already qualified
Coasting
True but bale is out of form. Think we actually play better in a 4-4-2 this year which means no BBC. Can't wait for group stage to end. Been boring as fick
No pressure? I wouldn't say that, after the game/result against United. But you are right about them being pretty much stuck at second place at best before the Dortmund game. And I also guess that BVB didn't really treat that game as a must win one - and why should they have.
@AlexShawESPN: Incredible post match with Lambert/Rodgers.
Lambert: "We answered some critics."
Rodgers:"We were outstanding."
It was 2-2 with Ludogorets
Liverpool back to being the mid-table club they're supposed to be
Barca's ceiling in CL is the semi-finals.
Not sure why so many main guys are playing...
Because he wants to inflate his stats with meaningless goals?
More importantly: Where is the GALATASARAY WILL BEAT ARSENAL thread?
