-losing 3-1 AT HOME in the round of 16,
-to a Monaco team missing 5 starters...
-and to a team that scored 4 goals in 6 goal stage matches

Arsenal should be expected to win, not because they're English or any good...but because any self-respecting team at home in CL should

I am still shocked about this complete non-performance in the first half. What does Wenger do with these players that they seem to be terribly afraid of even playing ing Monaco? And what kind of a sorry-ass bunch of ting-their-pants-big-boy-style are these players (minus a few exceptions)? I mean, it's not that I expected much from Arsenal tonight, but this first half was ungodly in some Lovecraftian way.

But I don't see what the issue is with celebrating Monaco draw. Arsenal is a mid-tier team that underwhelmed in the group stage, and got a better draw than Dortmund (who won the group got). Arsenal also avoided Bayern, Barca, Real, Athletico which they would have no chance against going in.

Just because Arsenal put the together the most embarrassing display I've seen in years in the CL doesn't mean Monaco wasn't a good draw. Monaco are a mid-tier team, suffering from an injury crisis. There's no reason to lose 3-1 at home in leg 1 to Monaco, and it got nothing to do with the overrated EPL.
