Wasnīt that meaningless for Arsenal: a 3:0 would have meant, that winning @Gala and Dortmund not winning against Anderlecht would be enough for Arsenal to get the first spot! Now, they need a 6:0 minimum @Gala and Dortmund drawing or losing...

If itīs a draw in Dortmund against Anderlecht, a simple 1:0 for Arsenal would have been enough in Istanbul, if they had won 3:0 today. Now they need a 6:0 there, assuming Dortmund draws against Anderlecht, which is possible...

But hoping they'd beat Dortmund 3-0 is ambitious and then hoping BVB ties the next game is asking for a lot. The point I was making was that throwing away 2 points and a 3 goal differential with Anderlecht in 15 minutes was more in their control, and the royally screwed up. Anything can happen, but not betting on it.

No pressure? I wouldn't say that, after the game/result against United. But you are right about them being pretty much stuck at second place at best before the Dortmund game. And I also guess that BVB didn't really treat that game as a must win one - and why should they have.
