I've always wondered why women basketball players don't wear those shorts.

Of course, half of them look mannish so they're probably doing everyone a favor......but still, I'd think the aerodynamics of the tight shorts would give them just a little bit more of an edge over the baggy guy shorts..

Before the WNBA, there was a women's league that did play in spandex. Liberty Basketball Association? I remember seeing it once on some obscure channel. Of course that was before female players walked around with s in their shorts.
