That is sad..
I don't remember highschool being this bad.
For sure there were tensions, but it never really resulted to any physical violence...Some verbal bullying, but not extreme..
Specially with girls..Most girls just gossip from what I can remember.

On my first day of high school, a huge gang fight broke out in the cafeteria between the socs and the cholos... and that was a long time ago.
I've tried a few times to read the book, nope, can't do it. But, I am currently reading Clarkes "Against The Fall Of Night", so far so good.
