if you are challenged and find it too cliche, i challenge you to research and consider investing in this company. it currently trades around 30 cents. you might could catch it at 28ish. if it goes up 7 cents you make about 7$ per 100$ worth of shares. you can donate your earnings if you feel so inclined, i'd personally consider investing to be enough of a contribution. the company could be a bust and you could also loose your money all together.
any way you slice it, pour* a bucket of ice cold water over your head or take a chance at profiting from your vote of confidence in an als medication company? that's a drunk kinda challenge.

A good marketing campaign does wonders.
but is any amount going to a middle man/3rd party non-profit acceptable, when you could just buy ownership stake in a company who is trying to make a product that actually does something?
lose
pour
fair enough
lose, gutless, excuses by nitpicking.
When the product isn't proven, yes. Now if it was clear that this bcli really had something and needed some cash to get over the hump, I'd agree, but at this point, I'd rather donate money. Plus, if it was clear that they really had something I'm sure alsa would throw money at them.
but the only thing you'll get from alsa is a thank you. "and bcli is about as proven as LJC/Bertans," i agree with you 100% on that specific statement alone.
Please consider donating http://www.charitywater.org/
imo, all the more reason to invest in a stem cell research company that wants to profit and help or help and profit. It's not enough to generate awareness, it's not enough to collect money with noble intention. I believe enough is treatment/cure companies and profit for those companies and those with the guts to invest.
Be careful out there, kids

well, the stock is making moves. i never bought in for myself, i took a chance on a cheaper penny stock. but i had it in a practice portfolio, and it looks to have jumped from 30ish cents to 4ish dollars. here's an article that explains why the jump isn't as nice as i'd like. 15 shares of the stock combined into one big share. either way, the stock is doing things. it's trying to surf the als challenge wave. i hope somebody smarter than i seriously looked into it.

the link might have a stupid sign up pop up, just opt out and refresh. that worked for me.
I wouldn't touch that stock following that 1:15 reverse split. No telling how the stock will be received if they do manage to uplist to nasdaq. Biotech market tanked in the spring and hasn't recovered.
