He will not sign with the Spurs. He can't do that "if you can't beat'em join'em" thing twice. My guess he will stay in Miami for one more year and retire. He doesn't want to look like LBJ's puppy who follows him around.
He should go to Dallas. They could use his shooting.

He's not coming the SA. I thought he made it perfectly clear that he was going to coat tail wherever LBJ went.

He's really mediocre at this point of his career, tbh, and as Chump said, I highly doubt he would be willing to accept a role at the end of the bench..

This isn't the 80s or 90s, it's much more difficult for washed up role players to play at a high level in today's NBA, they're easily exploitable once they begin to break down..

Also, Ray Allen, I don't want to see that pussy in a Spurs jersey..
He wouldn't necessarily be at the end of the bench until late February. I'd love to have him so the team can get Ginobili lots of rest this season again.

If there is a report out about it, that probably means it's even less likely to happen.

Eh, that's probably his people floating the Spurs to get more money from the Cavs. He and LeBron are buds, and everyone knows he's going to follow him to Cleveland.

If the guy could produce I'd say its worth considering. At this point though, he's nothing but insurance and dude's ego won't allow for it. He's a ring chaser and mediocre at best. I'd like someone who can actually play some defense and drive to the hoop.

Cleveland doesn't have any money. All they can offer is the minimum. Maybe he's trying to get paid more in Miami.

Are there still Spurs fans hating and bitter about Ray Allen? That's pretty sad, not that I'm calling you guys sad, just the whole situation since I just figured most Spurs fans had been freed from that by the catharsis of this last championship like I was. Yeah, I guess you could be like "WE COULD'VE HAD BOTH CHAMPIONSHIPS" but it always did feel like the heartbreak of one helped fuel the vengeance of the other, not that I'm saying I don't think we could've won 2013 and also won 2014. We've got this coming year though, that's always been my at ude as a Spurs fan. There's no sentimental aspect of Ray Allen to me. Is it that much more different than Robert Horry coming on board after the Lakers?
I guess if I don't necessarily want Ray Allen on the team it has more to do with whether or not he's got enough left in the tank on both sides of the court to be worth it. Maybe? Maybe not?
Probably it's just yet another situation of the Spurs being floated around so that he can get more money elsewhere.

Ray Allen in limited minutes for the Spurs would be great. People forget the unstoppableness of the Spurs offense is predicated on spacing. Ray Allen can definitely space. And at this point in his career, SA>Cleaveland.

Nothing wrong with adding the best shooter in NBA history to our legendary offense. Allen, even in a reduced role, would thrive in SA's system at this point in his career. All he has to do is spot up from three and he will feast on open looks tbh
