Netherland´s Euro Qualifiers were embarrassing, no doubt about it. But their great result at the World Cup 2014 maybe covered up the fact that their team was already rather mediocre in some areas back then already. They had a great run, not least because Robben was having a great tournament (him and Messi were the best players on an individual level). But defensively, they have had issues for a while now, and attacking options like Sneijder or RvP are just past their prime these days.
