ha nah not going to drop that much cash on something that i have to maintain and upgrade. taking all the time i spend on the computer and learning a new hobby haha.
The upgrade thing isn't as bad as you think. My processor is still powerful as , they are much more advanced than the graphics cards are these days so they stay relevant much longer. My graphics card was cutting edge 2 years ago, and to this day it runs nearly everything at 60 FPS or better on ultra settings. The only thing I really ever adjust is anti-aliasing, but on a 23" monitor it doesn't make a difference. On my HDTV it's more noticeable, but FXAA helps out a bit.

There has been 2 series launches of graphics cards since mine was released, and I can't see the need to upgrade for at least a couple more years at 1080p, or sooner if I decide I want to game at a higher resolution. If you build with the future in mind, you can get at least a good 5 years of gaming out of your PC, and then sell that to somebody at the end of it's cycle.

    Word.

Most of the time you just want to come home from work and unwind, push a button and immediately start to play.

What hoops and hurdles do you picture a PC gamer going through to launch their game and play?

Yeah I noticed..your is ALWAYS on snooze. I keep mine running too, I hit the Xbox guide button on my controller and it launches right into Steam Big Picture mode when I'm hooked up to the big screen

Turn the computer on..go to the game you want to play, get it going etc.

Is not really that conventional for me because I turn the computer off when I'm done with it. Leaving it on 24/7 seems like a waste imo.

Because it turns on quicker? Less steps?

I'm not defending consoles. Merely just saying they are easily accessible and quicker to get to.

Hmmm..not sure a console will boot any faster than a Windows 8 PC running SSD tbh.

This game got old fast. Loved it for the first month, now I am bored with it. I haven't done any raids or anything like that yet, but it really doesn't seem necessary to do them. I do just fine with legendary gear/rare gear.
