Giants are seriously a fluke, just a 4-man team at best. The last two World Series have been so ing unsatisfying.

2001 was the last great world series and it's been downhill ever since. The early 1990s and mid 1990s had some great series. Blue Jays were badasses. The Braves as well.

No they won't. They'll just compete and flame out in the postseason like they've been doing since their magical world series le in 2011. They won't even win the NL if the Giants return to the postseason. The Cardinals are the Giants postseason .

I really don't know why the Cardinals keep being mentioned with the Giants over this 5 year span. They won 1 le which was as many as the Red Sox. The Giants have 3 les and took out the Cards in both NLCS meetings. Both World Series trips the Cards had were due to the fact that the Giants were NOT in the playoffs.

Cards were unfortunate that La Russa retired; coincidentally the only manager to do so after winning a World Series. I think they still made the playoffs next year. They were as equally dominant, and deserve to be mentioned and respected.

Giants deserved to win the series. Outside of MadBum, their hitters had better ABs when it counted and made less mistakes. Losing game 4 after having a 4-1 lead cost the Royals the series.

Had to figure if KC was ever in a one run hole in the 5th or later that Bumgarner was going to come close it out like he did. Soon as I saw him warming up with the score 3-2 Giants knew that was ballgame.

I wasn't so sure. I thought his velocity would be way down and the Royals would get to him. I was kinda shocked when he came in and instantly started dealing after that initial single he gave up. Wasn't sure how much he had left in the tank after just pitching a complete game just the day before.
