Running backs don't deserve to be MVP, so you won't see them on this list.

    1. Philip Rivers
    2. J.J. Watt
    3. Andrew Luck
    4. Aaron Rodgers
    5. Peyton Manning

HM: Eli Manning (not a typo), Steve Smith

Demarco Murray has got to be at least an honorable mention, too. Especially before Eli.

And there are a couple wr's i would put ahead of Smith. (Brown, Nelson, possibly Julio Jones).

    1. Rivers
    2. Watt
    3. Manning
    4. Rodgers
    5. Murray

    HM: Luck

Denver would still be pretty good w/o Manning, I don't know how that loaded team can be under the cap.

    4. DeMarco

Realistically, Watt isn't a candidate, since the MVP award has become the "quarterback or running back with the best stats" award....

Rivers looks like the early leader, but the media will find every excuse they can to gift it to Fivehead or Luck....

Watt could change that. If he keeps doing inhuman things.

If Watt keeps it up, he could win it. Totally agree that media will try to give it to peyton/luck/rodgers

I'll believe that defense will be rewarded in today's league when I see it, tbh.... if Rivers can't win it, I hope Watt does, but I'll be shocked if it happens....

rivers will never be mvp, and that is right because he is simply not a decisive player and chokes whenever he can. Especially now that the chargers oline is taking hit after hit, he'll crumble quickly.

I've seen several media members touting Watt as an MVP candidate on Twitter. It wouldn't shock me.

Five straight games of an 120+ passer rating (an NFL record) and he just won a game he would have choked away in previous years.... I know it's just the Raiders, but even last year, he'd have 100% fumbled a snap or thrown a pick on the last drive.... he also has had a O-line all year and most of his career...
