That's more like $480 with a good controller tbh (but I play NBA 2k with keyboard and mouse! Lol consoles!)
Rockstar sure knows how to troll PC gamer, tbh

By releasing two months after PS4 and piece of XBox One?
Yeah, it's gonna look much better, but the gameplay will stay the same. It's a great game and all, but I can have about as much fun on San Andreas. That's what I think you don't get sometimes. You just when you see the specs.
It's weird how you say that considering my most played games over the past year are older games that are by no means graphically superior, and some of my current favorite games are indie les that have absolutely no triple A graphics at all.
The difference is, the PC has choice. I love the ability to choose.

That's fine, but why do you point towards graphics or specs whenever someone has a different opinion than you? People think GTA4 is (and it is) and you recite paid reviews and buffed graphic mods, like they will fix this broken game.
Nah, by taking over a year to move the game over... Did the PC ever get Red Dead Redemption?
You can put moar porn on the PC though.
But consoles don't get Star Citizen
And those ties in Trevor's strip club will bounce better out my GTX 980 than ur XBox 360 lol consoles. More realistic bump-mapped areolas tbh
There's nothing in that trailer that hasn't been done to death for the past 10+ years ago by games like Manhunt, GTA, Postal etc.
I didn't. ElNono brought up GTAV, which will be on PC soon, and when it does it will look better than it does on consoles.
And of course graphics matter. If they don't why would you buy anything other than a PS2?
Getting locked 60 FPS at 1920x1080 is a of a lot more expensive though. You're talking an overclocked i5 ($220) and a GTX 970 ($330) to be able to lock to 60 FPS at Very High with Very High textures in Crysis 3.

Overclocking your i5 you're probably also talking about at least a $30 heatsink and an $80 case for good airflow, and a Z97 board at over $100. A reasonable setup like this might be something like this if you don't care about SSDs and want a minimal hard drive for gaming. That is an absolute killer system, but it's more than 2.5x the price of a PS4.

You're right about the cost differential between the two..I think a gamer would need other reasons to warrant a system that expensive. I spent 500.00 on a 680 and 230.00 on the 3570k when they were new, but this PC is great with animation programs, Photoshop, Traktor, Reason, FL Studio also.
Also, on the amount of money I've saved on sales and bootlegging games that aren't worth buying, I've more than paid for the PC twice over
LOL, that's why I didn't include Windows in the price of building.
What kind of overclock you get on that CPU and what kind of cooling do you use?
Which would be relevant if consoles ran next gen games at anything close to high or very high. They don't. So you're saying you have to pay more to get FAR greater graphical prowess. A $450 computer will still give you better framerates with similar or better textures than a console.

A 280 FAR outspecs anything the PS4 is capable of, and will run nearly game on high @ 60fps.
I need a ODDE for the PS4, then I would be set, tbh
4.5 Ghz with a little bit more room to work with.. I have a Hyper 212 Evo and a HAF 932 with great airflow. I keep the AC on 65 too, and that lowers my temps a few degrees too.
I have a 212 with a 922.
How is the 922 when it comes to dust from the side intake fan? Or did you buy a filter to put on it?
Yeah, the 212's are great coolers for budget builds up to enthusiast..Next time I build I think I may go liquid though...or...maybe mineral oil?
There is a good amount of dust collected in a couple of months worth of time. I keep the fans blowing on regular speed too.. I personally didn't get dust covers because they block some of the air, but cleaning it regularly is a bit of a pain in the ass.
I just dust it routinely. Isn't an issue.
