Pop's Suns trolling is practically an art form at this point.
Spurs’ Gregg Popovich fires back at Suns owner’s apology: ‘I’m just surprised he didn’t do it in a chicken suit’
http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.c...-chicken-suit/“As I said, the silliness begins,” he said. “Most wise individuals would check facts before they made statements. Unless you’re interested in putting on a show. In that case, the facts get in your way, as in this case.
“We had five guys we didn’t send. Patty Mills had a shoulder operation over the summer. Tiago Splitter (calf) has been out the whole preseason. Kawhi Leonard (eye infection) was out and is still out for 10 more days. The other two, Duncan and Ginobili, are two of the oldest guys in the league who just came back from a 13-day European trip.
“The only thing that surprises me is that he didn’t say it in a chicken suit. I’ll just leave it at that.”

Colangelo, Jerry's kids, the Sterlings, James Dolan, . . .
the list goes on. I can understand why the players feel they deserve more than half of all gross income.
I like this exchange between Sarver and Pop, hope to see more of it.
After 2005 you'd think Sarver might have learned a lesson....
10 more days for Leonard?? WTF.
He won't play until 2nd game of the season
The initial reports I've read have him only being out until the rest of the preseason. I haven't heard any word of him missing regular season games.
18th --> 27th = 10 days. He plays on the 28th, the first game.
Sure is. I approve!
The Suns owner is a joke and a half.
Good on Pop for stomping that pompous dumbass.
I hope you're right guys, but some reports are pessimistic.
"Based on the tentative time frame for his recovery, his availability for the Oct. 28 regular-season opener against the Dallas Mavericks also appears to be in question"

"Leonard will likely miss at least the rest of the preseason and could be unavailable for the start of the regular season next week"

"The infection also makes him questionable for the Spurs' season opener against the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 28"

A simple 'its pre-season' would've been enough but Pop opted to completely destroy that got instead.
This alone tells me that Pop does not like the way how the preseason went so far for the Spurs ... too many minor injuries, the Europe trip, players just do not look very good except for Tony and Tim ... Pop took this statement by Sarver thankfully to blow off some steam
^Nah he just doesnt like that got. Pop doesnt give a about pre-season and neither should we.
SPAM, son.
I have had mixed feelings in the past regarding Pop's treatment of the media, but it's definitely pleasing to see him be snarky with that doofus Sarver.
