Commissioner Bob Bowlsby confirmed that the Big 12 has joined with the ACC to pe ion the NCAA to deregulate rules governing conference champions and particularly football le games.
Current rules mandate that a conference must have 12 members to conduct a le game. Bowlsby said there are no plans for the 10-school Big 12 to resurrect its le game.
