It's not really about football results at this point.
Huge mistake not to take Louisville while they were effectively available.

Troof.
big 10 didn't add rutgers and Maryland because they're awesome at football.
Lets face it tbh. If TCU/Baylor were UT/OU they'd be in the college playoff no questions asked. This playoff system will be more flawed than just having a BCS game.
Exactly. And if it was Minnesota or Maryland instead of OSU they'd be ranked below 2-loss teams
If given a chance to get ND/Big10 team in there I knew they would. That is college football.
The mighty Crimson Tide the pride of the great SEC.
The Florida State Seminoles, who can forget Bobby, Deion Sanders, the tomahawk chop?
The Oregn Ducks, what uni will they wear next, the pride of the west coast.
The Ohio State Buckeyes, Woody would be proud.
Outside of Texas nobody gives a about TCU/Baylor****, they are nobodies. Only Texas/Oklahoma could pull it off out of the Big12.
****Not in the track world however. TCU has had seven sub10.00 sprinters among their alum, that is twice as many as any other school, they hold the NCAA 4x1 record also. Baylor had the great Michael Johnson and Jeremy Wariner, no school has had more great 400m guys.
Big 12 has a huge problem of schools in their conference ing everything up, tbh. UT did it a few years ago by selling their soul to ESPN, convincing A&M it was time to leave, and causing realignment. Now Baylor ed everything up by having to add a pr firm like a little to try and convince the committee that their head to head over TCU(which TCU choked away) was more important than the entirety of the season. Well, the committee basically told the Big 12 that they're a bunch of idiots and they should just go play outside. It's so ing stupid. lol I can't believe it.

This.
Ohio State only got in because of their name. If TCU or Baylor swapped shoes with Ohio State, despite that monster win, they would not have gotten the bump over Ohio State.
That was a very skittish time. UT took 360 million offered. Not a bad deal. As far as conferences, UT could have theoretically gone anywhere at that time and they looked out for themselves first as it should be.
When the Big 12 first formed, and UT helped nudge Nebraska off their throne, that was somewhat of an awakening as well. Now Nebraska should have a shot at the big 10 championship game every year if they get a sane coach which I think they have. Colorado remains lowly. Missouri has experienced unforeseen success. ATM can brag about their conference and feel good. Your school first ( except AGgIe based on the small sample of posters)
The Baylor PR thing was nutty but it is the reality with parallels to the advertising networks do for certain conferences.
Totally agree.

I'm just going to pencil in Cincy and BYU. I think the Big 12 and ESPN are flexible enough to accommodate both
Mebbe UCF if BYU is especially prissy.
And of course, lolUTSA is the obvious choice.
Thank God for the Big XII. The only conference the ESS-EEE-SEE is better than tbh....
"God's conference". Hesh up girl.
Dumbjohn logic:
SEC loses a lot of bowl games............they suck.
Big XII loses a lot of bowl games........who cares?
I wouldn't expect anything less from this got.....

SEC fans were the gots who started something as stupid as conference pride chants. What a joke.
Well you can talk all the about the SEC you want to. They had a god awful bowl season. And they/we deserve every bit of it. Now let me take my wet on the CROFLMAO Big XII for having an even worse bowl season.
Do it all you want. We still don't root for our opponents
And we know which side to choose first in overtime.....
Seems like most of det SEC West already lost by then
And the CROFLMAO Big XII too......
SEC West was supposed to be da GOAT doe
SEC fan logic: actually giving a about conference bowl records
