    The tie was a big thing.
    But if UT was in TCU's spot, I feel confident UT would have been picked. Many more folks are going to watch Ohio St v. TCU. The committee would have emphasized Ohio St. really bad loss at home to va Tech, and would have taken into acct. OhioSt playing a 3rd string QB if UT was the other choice. Small private schools without big history are at a disadvantage imo.
