Ainge is now trying to add on Jeff Green to any deal.
Pierce and Allen are awesome shooters. Montas like a 30% 3 point shooter and is shooting the same percent from there this season.
Brandan Wright is going to be a free agent after this season, and most likely will get a decent pay raise. I like this trade, if only for the fact that it lowers the likelihood of him resigning with Dallas. He'd be a perfect player to platoon with Splitter, because his strengths are pretty much the opposite of Tiago's in terms of match ups. He'd be the better small ball center to play against athletic teams like Golden State, while Tiago would be the better choice against bulkier teams like Memphis.
Plus, Allen is one of the greatest of all time at playing off the ball and Pierce learned to do that near the end of that Celtics run.
Now some are saying Morey and Ainge are trying to make the Lakers overpay..

That's right. Fine, I'd do that trade. I've always been partial to Rondo. But, it's nothing but Ainge using us to extract what he wants from Dallas. He'd never trade us even a remotely possible asset.

The Rockets have been linked to Rondo since last season. If they REALLY wanted him they could have had them by now. Ainge won't have much of a choice
