The Lakers trying to trade Phoenix's pick....
Amid the swirl of Rajon Rondo trade rumors, comes a new twist from the Lakers.
From USA Today's Sam Amick:
The Lakers inquired about a deal Thursday that would send forward Jordan Hill and a first-round pick to the Celtics for Rondo and forward Jeff Green, but the Celtics declined that offer, a person familiar with the details told USA TODAY Sports.
The person requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak about the private nature of trade talks.
Depending how you look at it, it's a sweeter deal than an earlier report of the ancient Steve Nash and picks for Rondo, but the Celtics are apparently still continuing to field offers.
Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski later reported Thursday that the Knicks and Lakers declined to be involved in a three-way deal that would have sent Rondo to another team.
Even more laughable, they offered the corpse of Steve Nash & draft picks
Mitch trying to pull another Gasol heist.
Only a massive idiot would give up Rondo and Jeff Green (who is having a career year) for Jor_an Hill. I don't blame Mitch for trying, since NBA GMs have proven themselves to be massive idiots at times, but that trade was egregiously lopsided in the Lakers favor.
Now, NOW, now Gasol equates to Rondo.
Lakers have GM power. That re ed CP3 trade comes to mind
Jeff Green, too. He's playing well this year.
Get out of here.
You're being cryptic again, Culburn.
Were you accusing me of hyping up Rondo's worth (I called him massively overrated in another thread) now that it's revealed that Mitch struck out on a trade for him?
Hill is a below average player. He isn't worth Rondo straight up, much less Rondo + Green, who is averaging 20ppg this year.
You're talking in circles again. When you get like this I will not converse with you. It's beneath me.
I'm not. I have no idea what you meant by "NOW Gasol equals Rondo."
Please elaborate, Cub. Let's not talk past each other.
^Unlike that piss pot chicken Pop who won't play his players.
Touche
I agree here, Cub. It's indefensible.
I'm formulating a TAINT. If it continues I'll lodge it.
give them a prime Jordan and the Lakers would still have nowhere to go as long as Kobe gets paid 25m a year for producing bricks tbh.
Winning championships is always defensiblePERIOD
Lakers are use to being the windshield,,,,not the bug that hits it,,,,,times have changed.
If only Stern was still around, this trade would have been legit and you guys know it!
