It's so crazy it just might work.
And it's about to work
It's so crazy it just might work.
It's hilariously weak that Duncan doesn't have one, tbh. He's the best defensive player of his generation.
and his all-star..It makes sense..
But for the detriment of the team?
Duncan should have won it back in 2001 when he finished behind Mutombo, even though he averaged more blocks per game, and the Spurs had the better team.
But, he won't win it this season, tbh.. his minutes are going to be limited much more in the 2nd half of the season. His bpg average will go down, and teams will likely score a little more b/c of it, thus the team's defensive rating will go down, and it'll go to someone else imho.
The team doesn't need the confidence of home court any more. They just won last year. The trick is being healthy.
Duncan is this team. He has given so much, it wouldn't be unheard of if they gave some back
If only Kawhi's eyebola didn't spread to his hand so he could help out
My hero can do whatever he wants...
Remember when Leonard got pushed up on the offensive role ladder in the Playoffs and he lost to Matt Barnes?
That's 'for the detriment of the team'.
He won't respond to that. He never does....
He'll talk about all of Parker's downfalls all day long, but when someone brings up his "fanduel bet" or "Matt Barnes" he's quiet as a church mouse.
He lost to Matt Barnes? Kawhi had a ton of great performances against Barnes in last regular season and playoffs.
He had one bad game in the regular season against Clippers? Three bad shooting games in playoffs? Sure.
Was Barnes the bigger factor of those low performances? No. Kawhi missed many uncontested shots in game 4 and 5 that really damaged his confidence in his shot.
Matt Barnes never was the intimidation factor that you said.
You could see a bit of a loss of confidence in his body language too.
I would love for him to get that unconscious, shooter's mentality. Not to be a volume shooter, but like a CB in the NFL.
Fail the last play? Giddy up.
Young players experience this phenomenon, losing confidence, until they mature as players.
The good thing? Kawhi has a lot of room to improve, we have not seen the best of him yet...
Yup. No arguments from me brother.
His evolution has been palpable and I look forward to witness its continuation.
