Seth Rogen has been desperately looking to be somewhat relevant again since his movie got relagated to third string media like youtube and random streaming sites.

Seeing as all he did was send out an observation via Twitter and he's become co-Public Enemy #1 with Michael Moore in the conservative hivemind, he's apparently still got some relevance to them.

Saving Private Ryan was great, but to me there could still be a better WWII film than that.
Ryan is all that's great and bad with Spielberg imo. The plot still annoys the out of me, and I find it cloying like a lot of Spielbergs stuff. But that beginning and ending are still incredible, just virtuosic filmmaking that very few could emulate. There are also some really good scenes throughout, it just feels like it fell short of being as good as possible.

Agreed. Something was missing from that movie. But that opening hit you in the gut hard.

seriously how hard is it to just make a solid movie about reality like this one? yet who else but Eastwood is doing it?

also, that Will Tippin sure has come a long way

I might check this out on a discount day. Clint is one of my favorite actors and I enjoy his directorial output though it's very hit or miss. He doesn't have any films I hate, but at his worst his films can feel lazy or unpolished.
I thought Million Dollar Baby was an overly sentimental piece of . With that said, I love everything else Eastwood has done that I have seen.

Tom Hanks and his sickeningly sweet character ruins that movie for me as great as the first few minutes are.

I hate movies that take a turn that doesnt make any sense, example...Han . Thought the movie had potential, then just went wide right.

I liked The Interview, but Rogen was more than worthless in it. He didn't say anything funny, or even memorable IMO. The only line of his I can recall is "Eminem is gay on our show"

I agree with the criticism about this fool talking on a satellite phone or whatever it was with his wife in the middle of battle.. that's real ing stupid..don't understand how not one person with authority thought that was stupid a while they were filming those scenes.
