He ball watches too much on offense.

He either needs to get back and prevent transition or crash the boards and help with the rebound. He just stands in the corner and waits
    I noticed this too...very disappointing...

Hopefully Franklin. Wasn't remotely impressed with Green. Would rather have kept Daye for a trade.

I thought it was worth a try; the Spurs seem to have a good grasp on what their weaknesses are, or at least what most people have agreed on here (backup 3/small ball 4/anyone with athleticism), and Green was a possibility to fill all three issues. Wouldn't mind seeing them give Franklin a shot, but I'd also be fine if they went after Ray Allen too (clutch FT shooter).

How many guys, including well=tested and proven veterans like Bones, have come into the Spurs and not played too well during their first year, much less their first couple of games. I don't know if Green can make it at this level, but its natural for him to have a little 'buck fever' when joining a championship roster. Give him a chance.

Interesting that they "couldn't come to terms". Green likely wanted a guarantee into next season and the Spurs may have only been willing to offer another 10-day or a guarantee through this season.

Maybe he'll be suited up in MSG tomorrow night against the Thunder.

It had to be more about the money. He can definitely get a deal elsewhere. Not for much, but at least guaranteed.

Pop probably gave Ayres the speech of how Bonner may retire soon and he needs a new favorite on the bench.

I wonder why they signed him? I'm starting to think some of these 10 day contracts are being given out just to reward guys that have been playing well in the D league...

i don't know why it's so hard for the spurs to see. J Green is a young fella with a real spark. The role he would fill should almost never play. Let the kid sit on the bench for the rest of the season, bring back Anderson, let Anderson and Green duke it out for garbage 3/4. Cut Ayers. I just don't understand what the heck they're doing. This Williams guy can shoot? Pop and his floor spacing bums.

Sometimes you just need a warm body to practice against.

I was listening to 1250 AM yesterday and the show host said that the rumor he was getting was that the Spurs wanted to sign him to a 2nd 10-day contract, but that they couldn't come to terms with his agent.

Austin hasn't filled his roster spot yet, though there is really no rush to do so.

They're almost always signed for the minimum salary so Green needs to fire his agent.
