So there you have it; English women exhibiting a latent Stockholm syndrome via the urge to be fertilized by historical captors.

I think the writer assumes the audience knows history and geography. Further, the writer assumes the audience has a juvenile sense of humor. This combination is a deadly one and should never be mixed. So the writer apparently attempted to produce a deadly mixture which can lead to exploding heads, therefore an apology is in order; I hope you survive.
