DVR capabilities?
Sling TV does not support DVR capabilities. yet..... maybe in the future one can hope.
Very limited on select channels, and only allows you to go back up to 3 days... it's different than a full-blown DVR.
Here's a review that explains that:

nice... I wonder what Apple's rumored service will look like... Supposedly to be revealed at WWDC
finally got it. app has a few bugs and lag issues.
It's a lot better than it was at release, trust me. I still love it.
Just signed up. Got the free firetv stick. This looks promising.
I wish it had native airplay support instead of just airplay mirroring. Also have a fire tv stick coming for free so maybe ill use that for it.
Better than the AirPlay support for the march madness app
So this service on Fire TV stick is junk. I resort to Airplaying over my AppleTV since the app on the Fire TV buffers every few seconds. So annoying. Anyone else have these issues?
I got the Roku 3. Really like it.
I havent had any issues using Prime on the Fire Stick
ya i didnt wanna pay for a box since i use my Apple TV mostly. So i guess i coulda got the rook stick for free but went with the fire stick since i have prime.
must just be the app. they need to make it more efficient with bandwidth.
Sucks on computer and phone but great on fireTV stick. Wish there were better channels.
anyway to send to chromecast on your tv?
Not sure, but you could try this: http://www.howtogeek.com/214943/how-...-a-chromecast/
Wow, sad to report that over the past 2 weeks or so, my service has gone from good (reliable with only a few bad connections) to almost unusable. At this rate I'm not sure if I'll keep using Sling. It's really terrible on my desktop at the moment.
Strangely, it works much better on my tablet. Maybe the first time in history I've seen a mobile app work better than a desktop program.

How does it look on the Roku?
Seems to me my sister uses her playstation 3 for the chrome cast
Roku works pretty well still. It's mostly just my desktop that's been uneven. Although I watched the entire game yesterday without a hiccup, so that was nice.
Firestick is flawless whereas mobile and desktop suck major ass!
Yeah, Netflix and especially Hulu on my HTPC are choppy compared to the Roku 1 I got cheap, but maybe a dedicated video card would help that.
