Damn, doesn't seem so long ago he was an allstar.

more proof that 90's NBA players are soft
He let himself go tbh. Imagine if he never played ball to begin with. He would've had all that heart failure earlier leading to death imo.
Heart disease is rough. From what I hear it's about 60% genetic, 20% diet, 20% exercise. So even if you're on top of your game and living healthy it's still largely out of your control.
Hoping for the best for Mason and his family.
You're undoubtedly predisposed to it if family has had it--but getting it as early as he did is on him.
RIP
Damn. Terrible news. Best of luck to Anthony.
Is that the bully Jordan talked trash to? RIP.
I think you're thinking of Xavier McDaniel.
Anthony Mason was an undersized forward who had good post up skills and was one of coach Pat Riley's favorite players in the mid 90s Knicks.
He was sometimes used as a point forward in the post by Riley.
IIRC he was not drafted very high at all. Maybe even undrafted, I don't remember anymore.
For a while he was one of the better forwards in the league.
RIP Anthony Mason
RIP Mase. Was a fun guy to watch back in the 90's with those Knicks teams.
