No team has had more great players than the Niners.
2015 will be another sub par season, then in 2016 things will start to turn around.
Only the Steelers and Cowboys compare to...5 SB wins/6 SB appearances.
All these teams have down times, that's what winning does because of the way the draft is structured.

Top 3 defense + 2 All Pro Linebackers. There is simply too much talent on the 2015 team to drop below 6 wins.
How do the 49ers get the next 4-5 wins? IMO it's returning to basics and pounding Kaepernick. No more nifty pocket passing.
1) 49ers return to playoffs
2) Exodus of talent in the off season
3) Coaching staff is recycled
Don't think they're a 3-win team (although that would be funny...)...Probably a 9-10 win team with a playoff chance.

Hard times are coming our way. (country song there somewhere) There is no reason to be optimistic. I have no problems seeing the Niners cellar dwelling in the tough NFC West. The Rams ever get a QB...............

I look at it differently, if a team isn't a legit threat to win a division (playoffs) I'd just as soon they totally suck and get those high draft picks for a few years. What good is an 8-8 season, unless you play in the weakass NFC south.

Wasn't Bowman ready end of last season? Willis is ongoing toe issue that will forever bother him to some extent.

Ah ok. Bowman should be fine but Willis probably bothered by that Toe til he retires.
not being forced to sign players the raider way. Also having high pick isn't that much of an advantage compared to other sports.
